at the training videos you've produced in the PuppySmarts
series and am impressed with the
entire
group. You've presented the material in a direct and
informative manner, emphasizing the reward-based approaches
that are the most effective techniques for training
puppies (not to mention adult dogs, as I'm sure you
know). The
videos are of high quality and do an excellent job
of demonstrating the techniques. As a veterinary behaviorist I'm always looking for appropriate
materials to recommend to veterinarians, dog owners, animal
shelter personnel and trainers. The PuppySmarts training
videos are among the best I have seen.
I would strongly encourage anyone working with puppies,
or anyone who owns a puppy, to take a look at the videos
and the techniques they present. Consistently using the
approaches outlined in these videos is one of the best
ways to start a puppy off on the right foot and prevent
many potential behavioral problems.

our thanks to you. When Kyleigh entered our home she
was a beautiful little girl.
She was a soft ball of light blond fluffy fur... with the
most woeful look in her eyes. When I look at this photo
taken of her when she first arrived I still wonder how
she managed to house the "She -devil" that lived
in her soul. She was all beauty with razor sharp teeth
that drew blood on every member of her new family on a
daily basis. She was in imminent danger of being returned
to her mother. Simply walking from room to room was warfare.
However, you and your lessons for Kyleigh and her new family
saved yet another unnecessary"put-down". At the
rate Kyleigh was going I truly believe that by the age
of six months she would have been devouring children under
the age of three. Tomorrow she will be five months old
and well on her way to being a "lovely lady".

of the family and you have shown us how to gently demand
